June 2010 will see the celebration and communication of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History and Culture nationally throughout the month for the third time.

Exhibitions

This year the GRTHM team will be bringing to Britain for the first time two important exhibitions from Europe concerning the Holocaust against the Roma Sinti.

Otto Pankoks "Sinti"exhibition will be Launching at Greenwhich University and Professor of Romani Studies Thomas Acton will be co-ordinating a History Seminar which will look at the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller experience of Holocaust, Genocide and persecution.

From 31st of May until June 20th the definitive exhibition concerning the Roma Sinti Holocaust experiance will be hosted by the Arts Pavillion Gallery Mile End.

 

2010 National Competition

This year's National Competition will be a POETRY competition. Entries will need to be in by 9th July.

GRTHM 2009

Throughout the month of June many people from all walks of life came together for the second annual Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month (GRTHM) to celebrate the history, culture and rich heritage of all Travellers.

Events took place throughout England and Wales, in public and in schools. Just a few of the successful events that happened in June 2009 are highlighted on this linked page.
