Chris Derrington
What's Going on in Initial Teacher Training? Part 1
Dr Chris Derrington is a freelance researcher and educational consultant. For the past nine years she has been a teacher trainer at the University of Northampton. Prior to this she worked for the National Foundation for Educational Research after gaining experience in a wide range of special and mainstream schools as a class teacher, advisory teacher, head teacher and school inspector. Chris also set up and managed the TESS in Northamptonshire in the early 1990s. She has researched and published widely in the field of Traveller Education and is currently involved in the longitudinal DCSF project 'Improving Outcomes for Gypsy, Roma, Traveller pupils'.

What's Going on in Initial Teacher Training? Part 2
Claire is a newly qualified teacher currently working in a Northamptonshire infant school. She trained at the University of Northampton and, for her final year dissertation, Claire carried out an Empirical study into the ways that primary schools reflect and value Traveller culture in the curriculum.
