Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector commissioned this report following a meeting with a group of Sheffield headteachers who identified a number of specific challenges in ensuring that Roma children attend regularly and do well at school.

The report is welcomed by NATT+:  "a ... positive report on how to improve outcomes for Roma children in the UK."

This year’s NATT+ Conference examines the right of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller children to high quality education. It’s a right that needs to be heard in a variety of ways and at a variety of levels.

Highlights of this year's conference include the Rt Honourable MP David Blunkett giving a keynote speech on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller integration and Simon Wrigley speaking on pupil's voices heard through writing in literacy.
