Following the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Resouces Project Report in November 2008 we can announce that one of the recommendations - a resourse catalogue - has just been released.
Claire Lockwood began compiling the information and resources to be included in thus catalogue last year. Each Traveller Education Service and similar organisations had the opportunity to put forward their publications and artifacts for inclusion. The information has been sorted through and reproduced as a 48 page catalogue that is now available.
Easy to use
Items are placed according to age-group suitability and accompanied on the most part by an image and description. In addition to books, DVDs, Posters and CD-ROMs there is also a page of "human" resources. There is a section dedicated to materials for Teachers, other professionals and parents.
Unfortunately it came to our attention shortly after the second print of the resources catalogue that the phone number for WMCSTC had been supplied incorrectly, and was therefore misprinted throughout the catalogue. Correction slips have been inserted into the newer catalogues but please note that the phone number for WMCSTC should be 01902 714 646.
The catalogue is finished with a comprehensive index and a list of useful links for further research.
