The list below contains useful websites and documents pertinent to the work of NATT+ members. If you are aware of any significant omissions to this list or know of a site that NATT+ members will find interesting or useful please let us know.

    • ACERT
      Advisory Council for the Education of Romany and other Travellers.
    • Amusement Catering Equipment Society
      ACES – The Amusement Catering Equipment Society is a long established society, dealing with the welfare of its members and operation of members’ equipment. Members include fairground operators, circus proprietors and performers, street entertainers.
    • Derbyshire Gypsy Liaison Group
      Provides valuable assistance and information to the Gypsy community in and around Derbyshire.
    • Devon EMTAS (Ethnic Minority & Traveller Achievement Service)
      Lots of information, downloads, background to projects, Devon TES newsletters.
    • ENTE (European Network for Traveller Education)
      ENTE seeks to actively improve the educational opportunities of Occupational Travellers, including those from the Fairground and Circus Communities.
    • Equality
      Equality is a charity that works to uphold and secure the rights of ethnic minority groups in Britain and Europe. We primarily help Roma who migrated to the UK from the new EU Member States.
    • Equality and Human Rights Commission
      A catalyst for change and improvement on equality and human rights.
    • European Roma Rights Centre
      An international public interest law organisation working to combat anti-Romani racism and human rights abuse of Roma through strategic litigation, research and policy development, advocacy and human rights education.
    • Exchange House Ireland
      Exchange House Ireland has over 35 years’ experience providing Traveller specific, professional, front-line family support, crisis intervention, education, training and services for children and young people in Ireland.
    • Friends, Families and Travellers (FFT)
      A charity who seek to end racism and discrimination against Gypsies, Travellers and Roma, whatever their ethnicity, culture or background, whether settled or mobile, and to protect the right to pursue a nomadic way of life.
    • Kids' Own
      Kids’ Own are a not-for-profit arts organisation in the north-west of Ireland that (among other things) publish books that celebrate and explore cultural diversity. We work with many nationalities, including settled and Travellers families.
    • Pavee Point Travellers Centre
      Supporting Human Rights for Irish Travellers.
    • Roma Education Support Trust (REST)
      REST provides support to Roma families settling into British culture
    • Roma Support Group
      The Roma Support Group is a Roma-led Registered Charity working with East European Roma refugees and migrants. Website includes resources, projects and training opprtunities
    • Romani World
      A campaigning site publicising the abuse of the Roma.
    • Rromani Connection
      This site aims to present information from Romani academics and Romani organisations on Romani culture and Romani history. It includes a section with a good range of resources.
    • Rural Media
      An award winning production, education and development charity that uses creative and digital arts as a catalyst for community engagement and social change.
    • Scottish Traveller Education Programme
      A wealth of information about Traveller Education in Scotland backed up by academic research. Also offers European perspectives on this area of work.
    • Showman's Guild
      The principal object of the Showmen’s Guild is to protect the interest of its members – showmen who gain their livelihoods through funfairs.
    • The Gypsy Council
      The website of the Gypsy Council. Education, culture, welfare and civil rights.
    • The Gypsy Lore Society
      An American site providing information about Gypsy and Traveller cultures.
    • The Romany and Traveller Family History Society
      This is a site for those wishing to trace their Traveller family history.
    • The Society of Independent Roundabout Proprietors
      The Society’s members are professional and semi-professional showmen owning and operating principally pre-WWII fairground equipment, including steam powered, wood framed and hand-turned fairground rides.
    • The Traveller Movement
      The Traveller Movement (TM) was established in 1999 as a second-tier community development charity, following the recognition of a gap in service provision and the marginalisation of the Irish Traveller community in Britain.
    • Union Romani
      A Spanish organisation recognised by the UN which campaigns for recognition of the Romani people.

    • Ancestry
      Trace your family tree. This site has paid membership, but you can have a 14 day trial.
    • Bilingual Books
      Offers a fantastic range of Czech, Slovakian, Polish and Roma bilingual story books, picture books, dictionaries, games and language resources. All resources are sorted into categories.
    • Books & More
      A multicultural bookshop based in Shipley, Bradford. They have been supplying multicultural resources for the past twenty years. Amongst their rich catalogue are resources that support Roma and Traveller families.
    • Gordon Boswell's Romany Museum
      A good resource for those near Lincolnshire.
    • GRTHM London website
      By Rocky Deans the London GRTHM Co-ordinator and managed by the London Steering Group which is made up of London TES and Southwark TAG and ITMB
    • Kids' Own

    • MILEN
      An online bookstore selling bilingual and monolingual resources for children and adults. They have resources in Czech, Slovakian, Polish and Roma bilingual story books.
    • Miriam Wakerly's Blog
      Many will know of Miriam’ novels Gypsies Stop tHere and No Gypsies Served. They are used by TESs in adult literacy classes and they are on the recommended reading list for the National Police Training Programme in Diversity.
    • National Fairground Archive
      The National Fairground archive is located at Sheffield University and provides a primary resource for research and an exciting source of teaching materials.
    • Roma Matrix
      The website has lots of useful information on changing attitudes, challenging racism, social inclusion and research.
    • Romani Linguistics
      This site provides information on the Romani language and on linguistic research on Romani. The site is operated by the Manchester Romani Project – a cluster of academic research activities based at the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures at the

      A oral history project undertaken by BBC Kent.

    • The Gypsy Lore Society Collections
      Collection of resources at the University of Liverpool including large collection of photographs and academic references.
    • The Patrin Web Journal
      An excellent site with lots of information about Romani history and culture. It also has an excellent links page.
    • Travellers' Times
      Travellers’ Times is the only national magazine for Britain’s 300,000 Gypsies, Roma and Travellers.
    • University of Hertfordshire Press: Romani Studies
      A publisher specialising in social, cultural and political aspects of Roma.
