SLAMbassadors are offering training for anyone working with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people. The workshops take place over 2 days and are free to all participants/teachers.

The project places poets and rappers into schools or other environments, who work with the young people to create their own pieces around the theme of Identity. These poems/raps are then filmed and stored on the Poetry Society's You Tube channel where they are watched by thousands of people across the world. The top 6 winners who are judged by professional artists like Benjamin Zephaniah (patron) and Linton Kwesi Johnston, are then invited to London and mentored in creating their first West End show alongside the judges.

More info can be found via http://slam.poetrysociety.org.uk. You can also visit the Poetry Society You Tube channel and browse through the hundreds of Identity films already store there. The workshops, which take place over 2 days, are free to all participants.
