Tackling Inequalities Experienced by Gypsies and Travellers

Andrew Stunell MP writes: Improving social mobility is a principal goal of the Coalition Government’s social policy. We are determined to give everyone the ability and aspiration to prosper, breaking down barriers to social mobility.

This progress report outlines the challenges, but also includes 28 commitments from across Government that will help mainstream services work better with Gypsies and Travellers.

Another report is intended once there has been an opportunity to assess progress in delivering against these commitments.
